Opening Doors for Immigrants

MVIC hosted its very first public educational event - a workshop on sanctuary and asylum that was held at Miami Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. Over 75 dedicated and compassionate members of the Greater Dayton community came to listen and learn from a panel of speakers who have had experience with the sanctuary and asylum process, as well as a congregation who had recently declared themselves a Level 1 sanctuary church. Attendees left with a myriad of social action choices to take back to their own congregations and organizations.
